Training Programme on Public Administration
Indian Institute of Public Administration is organizing a two week training
programme covering a “Module on Public Administration” for the Probationers
of the Indian Post and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service. The
programme will give the participants an overview of Public Administration,
structure, functioning of Indian government and administration and
understanding of contemporary governance issues. It would also provide a
theoretical and practical grasp of administration and governance.
Ø To familiarize the participants with the
basic concepts and theories of Public Administration.
Ø To identify and analyze the major
governance issues and reform initiatives in administration.
Ø To foster the spirit of team building and
synergy at workplace by understanding self.

Emerging Trends and Perspectives
Administrative Reforms: Reform initiatives since independence with special reference to First
and Second Administrative Reforms Commissions, Problems and Issues Concerning
Implementation, Police and Civil Service Reforms, Local Governance and
Major Issues in Governance: Ethics and Accountability, Important
Government Initiatives towards Transparency and Accountability, Consumer
Protection in India, Misleading Advertisements and Role of Media, Digital
Technology in Governance, Alternate Disputes Redressal Mechanism, Performance
Management and Public Service Motivation.
